We have tried some other ways to manage decoys on a hunting boat, but none seem to work very well. We have also seen other people "lose" a spinner out of their boat when the wind caught it and blew it out of the boat while they were moving. (They sink pretty fast if you were not sure!)
We also wanted something that could be used other than duck season, and a rod holder is a natural fit. This led to several design revisions of the Boat Decoy Holder (Model BDH1). The BDH1 uses the seat post holder to convert one of your fishing seat locations for duck hunting.
We also found that we can have these made cheaper overseas, but we wanted to try to make them domestically if we could. So, that is what we did!
